About Chris
I’m Chris from Kidderminster, UK. People often ask me where that is — I usually say it’s just outside Birmingham. I’ve been working in the digital world for over 20 years, and in my spare time, I’ve really thrown myself into mastering both web design and web hosting.
Over the years, I’ve had the chance to help loads of people and businesses get online with websites that not only look great but work smoothly and reliably. I genuinely love bringing ideas to life on the web and making sure everything runs on a solid, dependable foundation. Helping you succeed online is what drives me every day!

Left School
I left school with a strong interest in IT and web design. I spent countless hours teaching myself the basics, diving into HTML, PHP, and CSS. Back when YouTube was just getting started, I found helpful videos that made it easier to learn and explore web design on my own.
Started Work
After completing two years of study at Kidderminster College, I began my career at PC World, where I worked for six years. During that time, I took on a variety of roles—from Sales Assistant to working on the Technical Support Desk—which gave me a broad understanding of both customer service and technical troubleshooting. I was always eager to stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and developments, and that curiosity and passion have stayed with me ever since. Those years helped shape my skills and laid a solid foundation for my ongoing development in Web Design.
Expanding my skill-set
I paid my own way to take a night course in Web Design at Kidderminster College. The course focused on Adobe Dreamweaver, teaching us how to use its features—especially the frame technique, which was popular at the time but is now considered quite basic in today’s design world. About four weeks in, it became clear that the course wasn’t providing the practical skills we needed to progress. Because of this, the course ended early, and I took it as a sign to continue learning and improving on my own.
Web Hosting
I acquired my own web hosting server, which allowed me to design and host multiple websites from the ground up. To manage everything effectively, I had to teach myself a wide range of skills related to web hosting. This included understanding how nameservers and DNS settings work, configuring SSL certificates for secure connections, and navigating control panels like cPanel.
I also learned about setting up email accounts, managing databases, configuring FTP access, and monitoring server performance. Ensuring reliable backups, optimizing server security, and troubleshooting issues became part of my routine. To build these skills, I relied heavily on YouTube tutorials and online resources, gradually developing the knowledge needed to keep the server running smoothly and securely at all times.
Present Day
Today, I continue to build on my passion for technology and digital solutions, combining my extensive web design and hosting experience with new skills and interests. In 2011, I worked closely with a local business to design their eCommerce website, handling complex product variations, photographing items, writing descriptions, and managing product listings — all areas I was unfamiliar with at first but quickly taught myself to ensure everything was accurate and effective.
More recently, in 2025, I purchased my own drone and became a registered pilot with the UK’s CAA, fully insured with £5 million public liability coverage. This new venture adds another dimension to my skillset, blending technology, creativity, and professional responsibility as I explore aerial photography and videography alongside my ongoing digital work.
